2019 Holiday Gift Guide For Travelers

Holiday Gift Guide

With the Holidays quickly approaching,  it’s time to start thinking about stocking stuffers and gift giving.

Since it can sometimes be difficult deciding on what gift to give, we’re here to help!  Have a friend that’s a frequent flier? Is your niece getting ready for a gap year of travel?

Here’s a great list of thoughtful gifts that we personally use & recommend. Additionally, we’ve given many of these gifts to friends and family over the years.

Stocking Stuffers

Gift cards are always welcomed, easy to get and make perfect stocking stuffers! Since you can purchase gift cards in different denominations, they can be easy on your wallet too!

We can’t imagine traveling without a power charger. Without fail, your cellphone battery will be low at the worst possible time.

This travel power adapter covers more than 160 countries! It has surge protection and over-load protection as well. This handy item also has 4 charging ports making this one fantastic adapter!l

Luggage tags and passport holders are a perfect stocking stuffer! There are a lot of options and you can also find ones you may customize, to make it even more personal.

We’re big fans of Burt’s Bees and all their products! This travel set has a cream cleanser, day lotion, deep cleansing cream, body lotion, foot cream and hand repair cream. Plus, the price is great!

Traveling with larger bottles of cologne or perfume is often impractical. To make it easier, your traveler can use this TSA approved atomizer to ensure they smell great during their travels!

Gifts To Organize

Who says organization has to be boring?! Travelers love packing cubes ( I know I do). Lean Travel compression cubes do a great job keeping wrinkles to a minimum and they look great too!

A jewelry organizer is a great gift for the female traveler in your life. Packing jewelry can be difficult as necklaces, in particular, tend to get tangled up. This organizer would be a great addition to anyone’s travel packing list

Help Them To Remember Their Travels

Those of us who love to travel usually take a million pictures! You can’t frame them all, but you can have a digital picture frame. I love this frame since it also acts as a clock and a calendar, plus you can add music.

After each of our road trips, we look forward to coming home and tracing our travel route. Each of our boys have laminated maps in their rooms that show all of our trips and each state we’ve visited.
Another option is to get a scratch off map. They are becoming more and more popular! Both US and World maps are available.

Luggage and Weekender Bags

Luggage or a great weekender bag would be a perfect gift, especially for someone just starting their travel journey!

Luggage can often times be pricey. However, the below items are fairly priced with exceptional quality.

Practical Gifts

There are just some things that feel necessary to have on every trip. For me, I ALWAYS have my Travelon messenger bag. Any purse by Travelon is great, but I’ve had my messenger bag for over 5 years and I love it!

Finding the perfect travel wallet can be tricky. This travel passport wallet has it all! A place for your tickets, smartphone, keys, credit cards, passport and more is just the thing a traveler needs. It comes in a wide variety of colors and it’s very reasonably priced.

I think we all have a love/hate relationship with selfie-sticks. With that being said, boy they sure come in handy! We couldn’t always find someone or want to bother someone to take our photo. We bought this one and we love it! It has a bluetooth remote and a quick, easy to assemble tripod.

cell phone lens kit will be loved by any traveler. If you know someone getting ready to go to Yosemite or another National Park, this is a perfect gift! Everyone wants to get pictures of wildlife, but you can’t get to close to them. Having the ability to get close up shots of wildlife will make any traveler happy.

Books To Inspire

Books to inspire where to go next is a travel lover’s dream. As a family, we enjoy referencing 1,000 Places To See Before You Die.  In addition to a world version, there’s also a US & Canada only version.

Home Decor Gifts

I love these airport code pillows! There are a TON of options to suit your traveler.

These travel posters offer a cool, retro way for your traveler to remember some of their favorite destinations. There are LOTS of options for most every major landmark across the globe.

I love it when I finds things that are a little different. This travel piggy bank is not only adorable, but useful as well.  I like the design and it makes a great gift for any person saving to travel.

I have been wanting to try the packing cubes… may just have to buy some for myself now

  7. Sarah

Great selection of travel related gifts. So many things I’d like (or need).
Am always a little torn with packing cubes. Love the concept (and love packing all things in their own little pouches). But when it comes to packing my entire suitcase, I somehow can’t do it with cubes. Well, one day I might manage.
But would love to have a scratch map. Really need to put one on my Christmas wish list

I think the scratch map will be a popular item this Christmas. I resisted packing cubes for a long time. Finally, I gave in and then I once I used them, I got it.
Now, it’s hard to imagine traveling without them.

This Christmas I get one of the best traveler gifts that I could just imagine – a large world pin map! This is one of the best present that I could imagine! Now, this map is hanging on my wall and I am more willing to travel more only to pin more, haha 😀 Btw, great list, that every traveler will love and use! Useful gifts are the best gifts!
